Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Asad Umar and Shah Mahmood Qureshi escaped from a district and sessions court in Islamabad after their bail was cancelled.

Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra announced the reserved decision on Tuesday afternoon in a case filed in Tarnol police station for inciting riots on May 9.

As the bail was cancelled, the three politicans escaped from the premises of the district court. Qureshi and Umar were seen leaving together in a white vehicle.

Many political leaders from the party have been facing court cases since the violent protests of May 9 and have even been imprisoned. Some, like Umar, have stepped down from party positions while others have left the party altogether.

Most leaders have been implicated in cases related to inciting party supporters to violence that broke out across the country after Imran Khan was arrested from the Islamabad High Court by Rangers on May 9. The PTI chairman himself is facing dozens of cases.
