Power supply to Karachi DHA restored after eight hours
The power supply has been restored to the affected areas of Karachi DHA, which was suspended after a fire broke out at the K-Electric’s grid station at Khayaban-e-Ittehad, said the spokesperson of organisation on Sunday.
In a tweet, K-Electric spokesperson Imran Rana said that the restoration work in the affected grid in DHA has been completed. “Supply in the associated areas is also normal. The customer may reach KE via 118, or social media for help.”
The electricity supply to DHA was suspended for hours after the KE’s grid station caught fire at around 6:55 early morning. This happened due to short-circuit.
The DHA’s Fire Department “quickly” responded and two fire tender vehicles reached the grid station and doused the flames in around one hour.
The power supply to the affected areas was restored after carrying out maintenance activity for eight hours at the grid station.
