In a weird turn of events, Karachi University’s iconic Silver Jubilee gate made an overnight trip to Delhi. It sounds unreal?

That is thanks to India’s strong VFX technology, which they presented as the university gate in Delhi in a popular Indian web series titled “Asur 2: Rise of the Dark Side”.

The anticipation for the web series was high, due to the immense popularity of its first season, which was released in 2020 and left viewers eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story in the next season.

The Silver Jubilee-like gate appeared in the sixth episode of the second season.

To the surprise of all, the gate features the inscription National College of Engineering and Science instead of the University of Karachi.

An aerial view of the gate has also been shown to confirm its authenticity, and the screen displays the National College of Engineering and Science (NSIT) New Delhi during the episode.

While many viewers of the web series remain ignorant of the discrepancy, the Pakistani public, particularly the students of Karachi University, quickly recognized it.

The web series has garnered praise for the outstanding performances of renowned Indian actors such as Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti, both of whom have once again captivated a large audience with their stellar acting in the upcoming season.

The first season of “Asur” revolved around a perilous creature, with the plot centered on saving the world from its malevolence. Now, in “Asur 2,” a new Asur emerges, setting the stage for an impending battle against this newly found threat.
