Sindh Police ask additional Rs12 billion in budget 2023-24
The Sindh Police have put forward a budget proposal for the fiscal year 2023-24, asking for an additional Rs12 billion for the department.
The department suggested allocating the additional funds for the construction of police lines, family quarters, new weapons purchases, employees’ medical bills, and for the Operation forces in Kaccha areas.
The Police officials have estimated around Rs1 billion for the construction of Counter Terrorism department complexes in Sukkur and Hyderabad, and another Rs6 billion for the construction of police lines and police family quarters destroyed in last-year floods.
An Rs1 billion cost has been estimated for the medical expenses of the police employees, while also suggesting increasing the police forces’ medical allowances.
