PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has claimed that the elections will be held when he wants, saying that the government cannot hold elections in two months.

“PPP and I have always struggled,” he said while addressing a ceremony in Lahore on Tuesday where central Punjab’s ticket holder were present. Zardari urged the workers to show patience.

“I have read many books on the economy during my imprisonment for 14 years,” he said. The foreign exchange reserves reached $24 billion during the PPP’s government due to his given solutions, he said.

He claimed that he will bring the foreign exchange reserves to the level of $100 billion and sort out all the economic issues of the country.

The PPP’s president said that politics has the solution for everything. Only those who know nothing about politics do not have solutions for peoples’ problems, he added.

People run propaganda against defence budget, the PPP co-chairman said, adding that the amount of the army’s expenditure is not significant.
