Lawyer Jibran Nasir, who returned home on Saturday, has thanked everyone for their efforts to make him free.

“With the prayers and efforts of all friends and colleagues especially journalists, lawyers and bar councils, civil society and politicians, I have returned home safely,” he said in a series of tweets.

Nasir was home on Saturday, almost 24 hours after he was picked up by armed men in Karachi when he was returning home with his wife. Mansha Pasha, his wife, claimed that the armed men forcefully took away her husband.

“The determination and struggle will continue for which you all stood by me and my family and ensured my return,” he said.

Moreover, Nasir was in “awe of the courage and will power” of his wife, who suffered the ordeal of his abduction.

“Having a partner who strengthens you is a blessing,” he said.
