Announcement on Karim Benzema’s future expected today
Karim Benzema is set to leave Real Madrid this summer after receiving a mega-money offer from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad.
Benzema’s exit from the Bernabeu could see Los Blancos go for players like Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen who was been widely linked with an exit from Tottenham and Napoli respectively this summer.
According to reports, Benzema’s decision would be official in the coming hours, as the Los Blancos look set to bid farewell to one of the finest strikers.
Benzema would become the second megastar after Cristiano Ronaldo to join the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ittihad, who are currently leading the standings at the points table, are reportedly winning to offer over $214 million to the Frenchman for a two-year contract.
The 35-year-old had signed a one-year contract extension to stay with the 14-time Champions League winners last year. With his contract expiring in June, a lot of speculations have been in the air regarding his future in the Spanish capital.
Since joining the club in 2009, from Olympique Lyon, the forward has scored 353 goals and provided 165 assists in 647 matches.
