Manshera: Kaghan Development Authority has started clearing up the road leading to Saif ul Muluk Lake for tourists. The road had been blocked due to glaciers which are now being removed using heavy machinery.

Saif ul Malook Lake, also known as “The Lake of Fairies” is located in Mansehra, Khaghan Valley. It is surrounded by snow-capped mountains that attract thousands of tourists every year.

According to officials of The Kaghan Development Authority, tourists coming to Naran will be able to see the beautiful snow-covered lake in three to four days.

Saif ul Malook Lake is at an elevation of around 12,000 feet above sea level. The Malika Parbat Mountain is situated near the lake.

The lake is completely frozen during the winter season due to heavy snowfall. The best time to visit the lake is during the summer season as the roads to the lake are closed or inaccessible due to snow and glaciers during winter.

The Kaghan highway, which was blocked for every form of traffic after an avalanche in late April, has also been cleared and opened up for tourists.
