Political, economic instability also affecting Pakistan tourism
The ongoing political and economic instability in Pakistan is also affecting tourism in the country as tourists have avoided visiting northern areas so far.
Tourists are coming in very small numbers to the tourist destinations of Nathia Gali, Dunga Gali, and Ayubia.
Due to the aforementioned issue, businesses in the areas have come to a standstill.
Local businessmen, while speaking to Aaj News, said they have almost reached mid of May, which is overshadowed by political crises, and the tourists have avoided visiting these areas, due to the reason. “Our businesses are suffering.”
A shopkeeper said that due to the tense political situation of the country, our business is not running, since morning till now we are sitting completely free.
A similar situation is in Galiat, where businessmen are losing millions of rupees every day. Moreover, hotel industry owners have demanded the government to give them tax exemptions in these crises.
