How much PCB will earn per year in ICC’s new finance model?
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to announce the next revenue distribution in the coming days with the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) set to get the biggest chunk.
The new model, according to ESPNCricinfor, is currently at a proposed stage. Under the model, the cricket’s governing body will distribute annual earnings of US$ 600 million.
The big three – India, Australia, and England – are expected to bag over 50 percent of the revenue which is estimated at $309.86 million.
Among them, the BCCI would earn approximately US$ 230 million per year between 2024-27 - or 38.5%. Meanwhile, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) could earn US$ 41.33 million - or 6.89% and Cricket Australia would take home US$ 37.53 million - or 6.25%.
The only other board projected to make over US$ 30 million among the remaining nine full members is the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which could receive US$ 34.51 million (5.75%).
The earnings of the remaining eight Full Members are below 5%.
