Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that there should be a suo moto notice of Imran Khan’s allegations involving the former Chief Justice.

He was addressing the media in Karachi flanked by Murtaza Wahab. He said that the former Prime Minister has made big revelations in the interview, where he revealed how two governments were toppled at the behest of the former generals.

The PPP leader claimed that it seems like they [Courts] are clearing the way for Imran Khan’s return.

While commenting on the alleged audio leak of former CJP Saqib Nisar, he said that the leaked audio has created serious questions on suo motos taken by Nisar.

The minister further asked should the decisions taken by the former Chief Justice be withdrawn. These all judgments are illegal and unconstitutional. “The former Chief Justice has violated his oath.”

Memon said that who are these to order political parties for a dialogue? A judicial coup is being planned.

Taking a dig at Imran Khan, he said that Khan used to be a puppet then and a puppet now. He once again demanded to take the suo moto notice of Khan’s allegations.

Meanwhile, Advisor to the Chief Minister Murtaza Wahab said that people meeting Imran Khan behind the doors should be careful.

Decisions in the country should be made according to of law and constitution not on the base of conscience, he said.

He went on to add that only the Parliament has the authority to amendment in the Constitution, not the courts. Murtaza asked, are the courts going to decide the fate of the country?

The power belongs to the people and the people elect their representatives, he added.

The advisor asked, if the Parliament could be held accountable, why not the courts?

The PPP leader said that they disqualify someone and declare someone as Sadiq (honest) and Ameen (righteous), Chief Justice is not the only one running the show in the Supreme Court, but all the judges are.
