Panic as Indian civet enters Pakistani parliament
An Indian civet, which looks like a dangerous wild cat, crept into Pakistan’s Parliament building on Tuesday creating panic among the staff.
The Indian civet was captured and handed over to wildlife officials. It was the second civet to enter the Parliament in two days.
On Monday, an Indian civet entered the Parliament House, ran into several offices, and caused a bit of trouble before leaving the building. On Tuesday, another Indian Civet showed up at the Parliament House.
Most people, who did not know it was separate specie from the cat, were terrified by its sight when the animal.
The security personnel chased the civet around. It took a little while before the policemen caught the animal, which caused damage in several offices.
Some of the staff at the Parliament said they believe the animal to be extremely dangerous. They said it sprays something from the mouth, which smells unbearable and causes a burning sensation in the eyes of the people in the surroundings.
India civet does have a strong and unbearable smell.
Wildlife officials told reporters that the animal was an Indian civet, also called a civet cat. it is found in the forests of Asia and Africa.
Wildlife officials said that the civet must have come out of the forest due to rain.
Islamabad Wildlife Management Board Chairperson Rina S Khan said that the civet had been safely released into the wild by officials.
“Yes, it’s a wild animal but harmless,” she wrote on Twitter.
