14-year-old shot at Rizivia underpass

A similar event occurred on March 29 when a 14-year-old boy named Ayan was shot by a guard at the Rizvia Society underpass.

Ayan’s uncle, Luqman, registered an FIR at the Rizvia Police Station. According to the FIR, Ayan was shot around 3 am when he left the house to get milk for Sehri.

He was passing by the Rizvia Society underpass with his friend Owais when they stopped by a police check post where some men in plainclothes were standing with police officers.

“One of the non-uniformed men grabbed Owais’s motorcycle which made him trip and fall to the ground,” Ayan’s uncle was quoted as saying in the FIR.

Seeing this, Ayan hurriedly turned his bike around. When he turned around, one of the non-uniformed men shot him in the back multiple times.

Luqman said that the non-uniformed were filming a video during the shooting.

The injured boy, Ayaan, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Ayan’s lower body has been crippled by a bullet injury to the spine.

On April 2, the authorities arrested three suspects, including the main accused involved in the shooting.

The suspects Faraz and Irfan were also present with the police along with the main suspect Safdar.

The police have requested the Interior department to check the arms license of the suspects. A 9mm pistol and bullet shells have been sent for a forensic scan.

The inquiry committee of SP West visited Rizvia underpass and recorded the statements of police officials present at the spot at the time of the shooting.

Police officers from Gulbahar and Rizvia police stations will also be investigated in connection with the firing.
