Boxer Amir Khan was banned from two years from all sports on Tuesday after he tested positive for an illegal substance.

The test was conducted after Khan’s final fight against Kell Brook in February 2022 and turned out positive for ostarine.

The boxer has admitted to the offense but said it was not intentional.

“I’ve never cheated,” Khan told Sky Sports News.

“But I’ve got a two-year ban now, which is quite strange and funny because I’m already retired anyway.”

The 36-year-old boxer had announced that he would retire after he lost the fight against Brook.
