Karachi continues to suffer due to no gas during suhoor, iftar
Despite all the assurances from the Sui Southern Gas Supply Corporation (SSGC), several areas in Karachi continue to have little to no gas supply during suhoor and iftar timings.
Most neighborhoods had low gas pressure and some parts of Karachi were without the gas supply.
According to sources, Sui Southern Gas Company is facing a shortage of more than 300 mmcfd due to a technical fault in the Sawan gas field, resulting in a drop in gas supply of 44 mmcfd.
Gas supply has been suspended in North Karachi, North Nazimabad, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Orangi, Korangi, Landhi, Baldia, Qaim Khani Colony, Liaquatabad, Hijrat Colony, Garden, DHA, Sadar, Gadap, Kathore, and Scheme 33.
A day before Ramazan, SSGC announced that the company will ensure the supply of gas during the hours of suhoor and iftar for the convenience of all its customers during the holy month of Ramzan.
Twitter users commented on the gas shortage and said that people are having trouble cooking suhoor and iftar due to no gas supply.
