Babar Azam, Bilqis Edhi, US diplomat honoured with civil awards
- Sindh Governor Sindh, Qavi khan, Javed Chaudhry, Behroz Sabswari also conferred with civil honurs
This Pakistan Day Babar Azam, the Capitan of the national cricket team, was among the leading personalities who received civil awards for their exceptional services to the country. He has been conferred with the Sitar-e-Imtiaz.
While sharing pictures on social media, Babar Azam wrote that it was a great honor to receive this in the presence of his parents. He dedicated the award to his mother and father, his fans, and for the people of Pakistan.
Babar Azam was conferred Sitar-e-Imtiaz by Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman in a ceremony held at Governor House Lahore.
The main award distribution ceremony, however, was held in Islamabad at the President’s House where renowned Pakistanis received awards from President Dr. Arif Alvi.
American diplomat Robin Raphel was awarded the Hilal-e-Pakistan, the highest civil honour in the country.
Well-known social activists Balqis Edhi and Ramzan Chhipa were awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz.
Nishan-e-Imtiaz was awarded to the late actor Muhammad Qavi Khan, which was accepted by Sartaj Aziz.
Senior journalists Javed Chaudhry, actor Behrooz Sabzwari, Lt. Gen. Nouman Zakaria were awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz.
Jahangir Khan, Jan Sher Khan, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori were honored with Tagha-e-Imtiaz.
