Pakistanis happier than previous year despite political turmoil, inflation
Despite all the political chaos, inflation, and economic woes, Pakistan’s ranking drastically improved in the World Happiness Report released on Monday.
It saw a huge jump of 13 spots to 108 out of 137 countries in the United Nation report as compared to the last year. Pakistan was ranked 121 in the 2022 report.
India, who was sitting at 136th spot last year, has jumped to 126th spot. Meanwhile, Bangladesh is placed at 118 and Sri Lanka at 112. War-torn Afghanistan and Lebanon remain at the bottom
Finland has been ranked as the world’s happiest country for the fifth consecutive year followed by, Denmark, Iceland, Israel, and the Netherlands.
The United States is 15th for happiness despite being one of the richest countries in the world.
