Watches, cars and pineapples: Toshakhana records made public

Politicians, bureaucrats, children of public office holders, everyone got something

The Cabinet Division made the records of the Toshakahana from 2002 to 2003 public on Sunday, with details of objects, their recipients and their value all out in the public.

The 446-page list contains, former prime ministers, presidents, ministers, bureaucrats and even children of these office holders.

The Cabinet division website crashed as news of the the records spread. However, we managed to obtain a copy and here are are some major details about who retained what. The lists include only those objects that were retained and excludes those deposited back in toshakhana or displayed in the PM house. It is accurate but not exhaustive.
