CM decides to dismiss DPO over Nankana lynching
A man was lynched on blasphemy accusations on Saturday.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has decided to dismiss DPO Nakana Sahib after receiving a report on the incident.
The report has been prepared by the additional inspector general of the police.
The CM has also instructed authorities to complete the trials of the other accused quickly.
As per the procedure, the CM has to ask the federal government to withdraw the DPO’s services.
A mob had broken into Nankana’s Warburton police station on Saturday and beaten a person to death on the accusation of blasphemy.
