Pakistan all-format captain Babar Azam has announced himself in the Pakistan Super League season eight with his trademark cover-drive against Mohammad Amir.

It was a treat for every cricket fans, who were anxiously waiting to see a faceoff between the two star cricketers.

The anticipated clash occurred when Karachi Kings hosted Peshawar Zalmi, in their opening match of the season eight at the National Bank Cricket Area.

Babar, who joined Zalmi, was ready for his former teammates. He greeted Amir with his trademark cover-drive.

Late in the innings, he smashed Imad Wasim for a couple of boundaries. Though, three maximums in Imad’s second over by Tom Kohler-Cadmore was the highlight of the over.

Overall, the Peshawar Zalmi captain went on to score 68 off 46 with the help of seven boundaries and a maximum.
