PTI’s Zaidi denounces PPP for alleged attack against Hyderabad politician
PTI leader Ali Zaidi denounced the PPP on Saturday for an alleged attack against a Hyderabad-based politician whose brother recently quit the PPP to join the PTI.
“PPP goons attacked Zulfiqar Brohi in his office and injured him because his brother, Naik Brohi, left the PPP and joined PTI in Hyderabad,” he said addressing a press conference in Karachi.
Zaidi said that political vendetta in the Sindh province was on the rise and the attack was carried out on the behest of Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro.
Zaidi claimed Sindh police arrested the victims instead of the attackers.
He said that recruiting people with criminal records to Sindh Police had become a common practice across the province.
“These people are not loyal to the constitution or the state but to Zardari mafia,” the PTI leader said.
He said that he expected Sindh IGP to take notice of the issue and act to stop the ‘atrocities’ against Zulfiqar Brohi.
“If the IGP cannot hold the criminals accountable, then he has no right to remain in the office and must resign,” he said.
