Mother of missing man screams for justice outside Sindh High Court
“Let me see my boy’s face if he’s alive and if he’s dead than give us the dead body. I’ve been waiting for him to return for eight years,” cried the elderly mother of the missing person Muhammad Furqan, after a case hearing at the Sindh High court on Friday.
Muhammad Furqan, a worker at the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) went missing from Nagan Chowrangi in 2015.
The mother said that she’s been coming to the court hearings for the last 8 years but the police and court have done nothing to help find her son.
Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto said that the families of the missing persons are in distress.
He demanded a report from the defense and interior secretaries, saying the court saw little progress in missing persons cases.
“There is no point in holding JIT meetings if the missing people cannot be traced,” he said.
