Eight feared injured in railway track blast in Sibi
At least eight people were feared to be injured in a railway track blast near the Pishi, around 100km away from Quetta, area of Sibi, Balochistan on Friday, railway officials said. The security forces have reached the blast site and cordoned off the area.
The Peshawar-bound train, Jaffar Express, caught fire. The engine and eight bogies of the train derailed after the blast, Deputy Commissioner Kach Bolan Aghan Sameeullah told Aaj News. They were rescuing the people.
A few days back, a gas pipeline was blown up in the blast. Similarly, electricity towers have also been targeted.
Pishi is a tight security area and security forces travel in the train in order to ensure the safety of the passengers.
Pishi is a mountainous area, between Quetta and Sibi, where the telecom network is poor which is making it difficult for us to receive information from officials. We will update the story accordingly.
