Pacer Haris Rauf, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Saturday, wants his fans and everyone to know that his wife model Muzna Masood Malik does not use social media.

“Hello everyone, I just want to make it clear that my wife, Muzna Masood Malik, is not on any social media platforms,” he said in a tweet on Sunday.

This came after fake Twitter accounts of Muzna surfaced on social media. The screenshot of one of the accounts was shared by one of the fans in reply to the pacer’s tweet.

In the past, many celebrities have faced similar situations and urged users to not follow fake social media accounts run by their names. The surfacing of such accounts is pretty common after mega events or wedding of any popular personality.

When Pakistan beat Afghanistan in a thrilling contest in the Asia Cup, bogus Twitter accounts of Afghan bowler Fareed Ahmad, who had an argument with Asif Ali after taking his wicket, were created on social media. The account quoted Ahmad apologizing to Pakistan and the cricketer for his behaviour during the game.

“She does not have an official account. Please be cautious of any scams. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and good wishes,” Haris said.
