Haris Rauf set to miss Multan Test after injury
Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has been ruled out from the second Test in Multan, scheduled to be played from 09-13 of December.
The pacer, who made his Test debut in the ongoing Rawalpindi Test against England, injured his right quad after stepping on the ball during fielding.
He was sent for MRI scans and didn’t take the field for the rest of the game. While he did bat in the first innings, he did not bowl again.
However, according to ESPNCricinfo, Mohammad Wasim Jnr is the only other specialist in that group, but the management is mulling over calling Hasan Ali or Mohammad Abbas as his replacement.
Wasim’s inclusion would mean yet another debut for a Pakistan player this series, with four new caps handed out in Rawalpindi.
It is worth mentioning there that Rauf conceded 78 runs in 13 overs, and was the most expensive fast bowler on the first day.
