Gold price surge to all-time high in local market
KARACHI: Gold prices on Thursday reached a historic peak in Pakistan after the increase in price in the international market.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa and Jewellers Association, the rate of gold has increased by Rs.1,150 to Rs.162,750 per tola. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs.1,329 to settle at Rs.139,532.
The price of gold in the international market increased by US $20 per ounce and was traded at US $1,780 against its sale at US $1,760 the previous day, the association reported.
Meanwhile, the price of silver also increased by Rs30 per tola and settled at Rs.1,770 per tola in the local market.
