KARACHI: Police have arrested two men in connection with the rape of an 18-year-old girl in Karachi’s New Town area.

According to the police report, filed on the complaint of the survivor’s brother, the girl went missing on Sunday evening after which the brother filed a missing person’s report at the same police station.

On Monday, the complainant was informed that his sister was visibly distressed and standing under a nearby bridge.

The complaint continues that the survivor said that two boys from the neighbourhood placed a rag on her mouth after which she lost consciousness.

When she regained consciousness, she found herself naked and in an unidentified park. The two men, who she identified as Arsalan and Danish, then raped her, said the complaint. The men then dropped her off near her home and fled.

Both accused have been arrested and are being questioned.
