The PTI would resume its long march from Muridke today (Sunday). It would be the third of the march, which kicked off from Lahore’s Liberty Chowk on October 28. The party completed the second day of their cavalcade in Ferozwala on Saturday night.

The former ruling party has been demanding snap elections from the coalition government, which they think was “imported”.

The march was initially expected to end on day two at Kamoke, however, it was changed after PTI chief Imran Khan had to abruptly leave for an “important meeting” in Lahore.

But, Imran has rebuffed such rumours of leaving the protest for an “important meeting”.

“To all those, who are spreading rumours about my meeting, the reason for our return was that Lahore was near and we had already decided to not travel at night,” he said in a tweet.

“For the last six months, my only demand has been the announcement of the date for the immediate holding of a free and fair election. If negotiations will take place, it will be on this demand,” he added.
