PTI long march 2.0: Workers start arriving at Shahdara Chowk
LAHORE: The former ruling party – PTI – would resume their long march from Shahdara today (Saturday). It stopped at Data Darbar on Friday, as per the plans.
Workers have started arriving at Shahdara Chowk for the long march. PTI chief Imran Khan stopped the long march at Lahore’s Azadi Chowk after completing a journey of 13km on Friday.
The long march, which was scheduled to kick off at 11am, started late at 4pm. Supporters have amassed Imran Khan’s container as it arrived at the Liberty Chowk.
From Shahdara, it would go to Muridke, Kamonki and Gujranwala.
The party has given 10am time to the workers to arrive at the stop, however, it was expected that it would get late like the day one.
People from the Sheikhupura district would join the march. The party was scheduled to complete its journey till Kamonki.
“What an amazing start to Haqeeqi Azadi March. Massive crowds all along the way,” PTI leader Shafqat Mahmood said in a tweet on Friday.
“The people of Pakistan have demonstrated once again that they r with Imran Khan and PTI.”
