Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz welcomed the ECP verdict against Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference, saying that a certified liar and thief had been disqualified on the basis of irrefutable evidence.

“Pakistan’s first certified liar and certified thief disqualified with irrefutable evidence of theft,” tweeted PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.

Maryam has consistently claimed, in public appearances and interviews, that Imran and his wife Bushra Bibi were siphoning state funds and using their authority for personal gains.

She added that disqualification wasn’t enough while calling for Imran’s arrest and legal action for the recovery of embezzled funds.

Meanwhile, PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has often been on the wrong end of Imran’s jibes, found karmic justice in the ECP verdict against Imran.

“He who would spread lies about alleged corruption of his political opponents has been caught red handed,” tweeted the foriegn minister.
