ISLAMABAD: The government has kept prices of various petroleum products unchanged which will be in effect till October 31, Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar announced on Saturday.

In his video message from Washington, Dar said the finance ministry had received a summary from Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), proposing a little reduction in petrol prices and an increase in the prices of diesel, kerosene oil and light diesel oil.

“I discussed the matter with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and after his consent it was decided that no change would be made in the price of all the petroleum products,” he said adding that same prices would continue till October 31.

Accordingly, petrol would be available at Rs224.80 per litre, diesel at Rs235.30, kerosene oil at Rs191.83, and light diesel oil at Rs186.50 per litre.
