Maryam Nawaz departed for London to release ‘deep fake’ videos: Shahbaz Gill
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill while reacting to Maryam Nawaz’s departure to London said that the PML-N vice president had gone to London to release some ‘deep fake’ videos.
“All your money is staked abroad but you [Maryam] and your family still want to rule Pakistan,” Gill said while addressing a press conference alongside PTI leader Yasmeen Rashid in Lahore on Wednesday.
The PTI leader lashed out at the PML-N vice president for importing the power plant, saying that the audio leak had revealed that Maryam Nawaz asked ‘uncle’ Shehbaz Sharif to import machinery from India for her son-in-law through corruption.
Gill criticized Maryam for using the women’s card, saying that Maryam’s grandfather and father had been mocking women. “Teach your son Junaid that he has to respect women,” Gill added.
The PTI leader said that the constitution guaranteed women the same rights as men. “Weren’t Nusrat Bhutto, Fatima Jinnah, and Benazir Bhutto citizens of this country?”
He lambasted Maryam and his party for fabricating charges against Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima Khan, such as the ‘tile case’.
Maryam earlier in the day left for London to meet his father and party supremo Nawaz Sharif.
The PMLN leader got back her passport from the Lahore High Court, almost four years after it was taken into court custody over a NAB case.
At a press conference, she held shortly after receiving the passport, Maryam Nawaz said that NAB never filed the reference against her despite detaining her for months.
