Criminal intimidation among charges against PTI chief

ISLAMABAD: The Margalla police statsion issued on Saturday warrant for the arrest of Imran Khan, the former prime minister and head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

The warrant has been issued over case no 407, registered at the Margalla police station on August 22. It was registered in response to Imran’s threat against Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and other officials.

The case includes section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke, breach peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

It also includes section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 189 (threat of injury to public servant).

The development follows in the wake of a press conference by PML-N leaders in Lahore where Maryam Nawaz said Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah should raid PTI chief Imran Khan’s Banigala residence as the actual cipher would be found there.
