The Islamabad police have registered another case against Shahnawaz Amir, the son of analyst Ayaz Amir, days after he was arrested for murdering his wife Sarah Inam at their Islamabad farmhouse residence.

The development comes as the parents of Sarah Inam arrived in Pakistan from Canada Tuesday morning.

Shahnawaz allegedly killed the 37-year-old Canadian national Friday morning hitting her with a dumbbell, used in the gym.

He was arrested from the crime scene and remanded into police custody. The court extended Shahnawaz Amir’s remand on Monday by another two days.

Soon after the court hearing, it was reported that the police had recovered a Kalashnikov gun frmm Shahnawaz’s residence and he failed to provide a license for the weapon.

Police registered an FIR against Shahnwaz Amir at the Chak Shehzad Police Station for illegal arms possession.

Meanwhile, Sarah Inam’s father Engineer Inamur Rehman arrived in Pakistan with his wife.

The police were likely to hand over the body of Sarah Inam to them and she will be buried on Wednesday.
