KARACHI: Police exposed a target killing gang after they arrested a member of the gang in Karachi’s Rizvia Society area.

Central District Police arrested target killer Javed Langra with the help of technical means and CCTV cameras, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central Maruf Usman told the reporters.

He said that an organized group killed three people in Karachi.

The SSP Central said that the police arrested Langra while chasing the killers of Ibrahim Shaikh, who was killed in Rizvia Society on June 4. The accused has confessed that he had killed Ibrahim Sheikh with the help of three accomplices and revealed that he used to work for Arshad alias Mamu, the leader of Target Killer Group. “Rashid Mamo group had given orders to kill Ibrahim,” the accused said.

This was the third murder in this series. The accused stated that the first murder was that of Jamshed Alam on Preedy Street area of the metropolis where he went along with his accomplice Bahadur alias Faisal.

When Bahadur was arrested in this murder case the driver of Jamshed Alam identified him and testified, Javed Langra revealed that Bahadur ordered to kill the driver who testified and identified him while he was in jail.

Police officials said that the objectives of the murders could only be known after the arrest of Rashid alias Mamo.
