Eight ‘drug dealers’ killed in Quetta police action
Eight men that the police said were drug dealers who killed in a raid on the City Nullah near Quetta’s Circular Road, Aaj News reported on Wednesday.
Police said that when the police party entered the nullah, the drug peddlers opened fire.
The police responded with retaliatory fire in which eight people were killed. The police say those killed were drug dealers.
Police added that the raid was carried out to clear the nullah of unsavoury elements and ensure it wasn’t a hotbed of criminal activities. Following the exchange, police demolished several temporary bases established in the nullah and recovered weapons and drugs from those killed and arrested.
The report added that dozens of drug addicts were also arrested.
The bodies were transferred to the Civil Hospital for further investigation.
