BTS member J-Hope’s debut studio album “Jack In The Box” is now out and available to stream as of Friday (today).

J-Hope is the first BTS member to release music following the group’s indefinite hiatus that was announced in June. The ten tracks in the album are based on the Greek Myth of “Pandora’s Box” and have left fans in awe, with it already trending on Twitter.

The release of the album was preceded by a music video for one of the tracks “MORE” which came out on July 1, 2022. The music video built anticipation for the album, as fans noticed darker visuals and concepts that were different from the usual bright and hopeful visual style of the singer. “Hope isn’t limited to bright things” said J-Hope in a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Through the album, J-Hope talks about his anxieties about his future surrounding this career and the social issues that surround him. “MORE” talks about the importance of a life outside his fame and success while the title track “Arson” shows what uncontrollable passion could do. At the same time, “=(Equal Sign)” and “Future” talk about changing the world and making it more hopeful, a place where there is “difference, not discrimination”.

According to the Greek myth, when the Pandora’s Box is opened releasing all the evils into the world, only hope remains. The BTS ARMY has already made this connection and they are in awe of the amazing concept behind this album, and along with the vocals and visuals, Jack In The Box has exceeded the fans’ expectations!

It is safe to say that with the release of this album, the BTS ARMY is beyond excited to see what else is in store for them, and are eagerly awaiting the other solo albums by the remaining BTS members!
