It rained for a third consecutive day in Karachi on Tuesday, Eid ul Azha day 2 with 119mm of rain recorded at PAF Faisal base.

• Many families trapped in Karachi’s Lyari river have been rescued near Bakra Piri, according to the Edhi foundation.
• KE had to turn off 500 feeders over electrocution worries as rainwater did not drain out from many neighbourhoods. Three deaths from electrocution were reported.
• The Super Highway has been closed on the track from Karachi to Hyderabad.
