Qurbani rates: Butchers in Lahore set prices for Eid-ul-Azha sacrifice
In Lahore, along with the animals on Eid-ul-Adha, the rates of butchers are also skyrocketing.
This year too, butchers have dramatically increased the rates to slaughter and butchering animals.
Butchers are highly sought during Eid-ul-Azha understandably and in Lahore people have had to book butchers in advance to ensure their animals will be sacrificed.
Considering their high demand, butchers are asking for rates according to their preference.
Rates to slaughter camels have been set at 35,000 to Rs 45,000 on the first day, while on the second day the prices will be lowered to Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000.
The rate of slaughtering a cow is fixed at Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 for the first day and Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 for the second day.
Butchers have fixed the rate of sacrificing small animals such as goats and sheep at Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000 on the first day, which will be lowered to Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 on the second day.
