Pakistan reports highest number of Covid deaths since March
Pakistan reported the highest number of Covid-19 fatalities since March 7 as nine people died of the virus in the last 24 hours, according to the National Institute of Health data published on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus cases also continued mounting with 872 people tested positive for the virus in a single day. The positivity rate was 3.77%.
The country recorded such high number of cases after four months when 953 Covid-19 cases were reported on March 3. A steady rise in the virus cases were reported since June as people were infected by Covid’s Omicron variant.
The government urged people to perform a collective sacrifice and issued the coronavirus protocol ahead of Eidul Azha.
