Faysal Quraishi leaves fans heartbroken with ‘Sorry’
Actor Faysal Quraishi is a man who delivers and just as he had promised the first and last visuals from his shelved film “Sorry” have been posted online.
The project took several years to complete and encountered numerous obstacles before being forced to be cancelled. The actor and producer expressed regret to his fans who “lovingly waited” for the movie and gave them a “parting gift” by releasing a teaser in the form of the “first and last look”.
“Presenting the first and last look of Sorry: A Love Story produced by FQ films and SJ films, directed by Sohail Javed, producer Faysal Quraishi, and written by Asma Nabeel and Sohail Javed,” he wrote when releasing the teaser on Friday.
The video begins with a man walking through the snow while the lyrics “If you find love, don’t let it go and if you lose it, set off in search of it” play in the background. An automobile approaching the camera on a foggy, empty street at night and a sun-kissed beach were just two of the picturesque images that made up the full teaser. The words “A story of love, loss, and heartache” appeared across the screen in the middle of the teaser.
Before the first look was made public, Quraishi uploaded a video alongside Sohail Javed, with whom he co-produced the movie. He first explained to his fans that, contrary to popular belief, there was no ill blood between the two.
He stated the primary reason for making this video. “What I’m going to talk about today is very painful for me, but more so for Sohail because it was his baby. It is very painful news, believe me, that we are officially shelving Sorry, we are discontinuing it.”
After watching the teaser, we were disappointed that they had decided to put the movie on hold because it seemed to have been quite intriguing and something we would definitely pay to see. We can only imagine the heartache the cast and crew are experiencing at the idea of their hard work not being made available for the public to witness, especially with moments that were artistically shot and a top-notch cast.
