Ali Tariq teases fans with a poster for his new song
The past year has been nothing but pleasantly surprising for Pakistani music, with people lending their ears to all the new music coming out of the young singers. Ali Tariq recently teased fans about his next single “Raabte,” which will be released on July 12.
Ali never received formal music training. When he was 11 years old, he purchased his first guitar and taught himself. He began his career as a guitarist, performing with several local bands.
Later, he tried his hand at singing and recorded a few medleys that were well welcomed by listeners. As a guitarist for music director Ahsan Ali Taj, he was given the opportunity to record the original soundtrack for the Pakistani drama Aatish. On Soundcloud, the song’s views rapidly surpassed one million. He continued to record the theme songs for the drama series Ruswai , Log Kya Kahenge and Bharam.
Ali auditioned for Season 5 of Nescafe Basement and was chosen by music producer Xulfi. He sang a rendition of Mehbooba, a song that was broadcast as part of the first episode of the TV music series and is a cover of Haroon Rashid’s 2002 smash single.
It was an immediate hit, receiving millions of views on YouTube and putting Ali in the spotlight. Haroon Rashid also expressed his “love” for the rendition of his song and praised it as an “intricate, polished, and huge sounding production.”
A banner promoting the upcoming release of Raabte was posted on the Sun Le Zara signer’s Instagram account. Alizeh Shah, a well-known Pakistani actress, features in the music video. Shah and Tariq can be seen standing in a cut-out of what appears to be a red wall while holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes on the poster. Several artists, like Rafay Israr and Azaan Sami Khan, showered him with love on his Instagram in anticipation of the song’s release.
We are excited for what this dynamic duo has in store for us in the coming weeks! Take a look at the poster below
