Saife Hassan is the director of the play Sang-e-Mah, which Mustafa Afridi wrote. According to the director, the drama is the second in a trilogy; the first drama in the series is Sang E Mar Mar. The series recast many actors from the previous show but in new roles.

Drama, passion, treachery, ego, and sacrifice are all excitingly woven together in this narrative. A Pukhtoon family from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tribal regions serves as the centre of the story but singer Atif Aslam and his remarkable acting received the most attention.

Sang-e-Mah maintained quite the fanbase up until the last episode on Sunday. The drama concluded with a powerful message for the general public. Especially with a victory for women, the drama seemed to be heading toward a joyful finale. The victims of Ghag demand justice and the punishment of all Ghag-committing men when Zarghuna interrupts the jirgah.

The committee decides that no jirgah will ever be called in another instance of Ghag, the perpetrator will be punished without question. Zarghuna and Gul Meena also forgive Hilmand (Atif Aslam), who uses clever ways to save his brother’s back.

In contrast, Haji Marjaan (Naumaz Ijaz) and Zarsangah (Samiya Mumtaz) are discovered dead in their room in the final scene. Without knowing the jirgah’s ultimate decision, the two consume poison and face death together rather than receiving a penalty.

Apart from this twist, people are generally happy with the series, but this turn of events prevented the viewers from getting the joyful ending they so desperately desired.
