In Pakistan, gold is the only item getting cheaper

KARACHI: The rate of gold in Pakistan fell by Rs650 after which the per tola price of gold was Rs142,800, the Sindh Sarafa Jewellery Association said on Monday.

In addition to this, the ten-gram price of gold stood at Rs122,428 after its value plunged by Rs557.

The price of gold in the international market was recorded at $1,854.

The development comes amid the decreasing value of the rupee against the dollar in the currency market. The dollar reached an all-new record level of Rs203.86 in the interbank market, according to state bank of Pakistan.
