A Pakistan Army soldier has embraced martyrdom during an “intense exchange of fire” with terrorists in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.

“Pakistan Army troops fought bravely and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location,” The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in its statement.

It added that during intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Shahzaib Imtiaz having fought gallantly embraced martyrdom.

Area clearance is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found there, it said.
