PTI Chairperson Imran Khan said that Pakistan’s GDP was witnessing growth during his government, adding that the country was on the path of progress during the past two years.

“During PTI tenure there was a record production in agriculture while the price of the crops of farmers was provided to them in time,” the PTI chairman said while addressing a press conference in response to the survey report presented by the incumbent government.

Imran Khan said that the Economic Survey 2021-22 launched by the government proved the performance of his government.

The PTI chairman went on to say that the foreign remittances witnessed a record increase during the last two years. The economic survey endorsed that Pakistan was making progress, the PTI chairman added.

“We have issued health cards to the poor people, even the richest countries do not give free health cards,” he said adding that the PTI government was making efforts to lift the underprivileged class.

“The people will experience the real taste of inflation in the utility bills of next month.”

Lashing out at the government, Imran Khan said that inflation is touching sky-high since the ‘imported government’ came into power.

“The IMF has asked the PTI government to jack up petroleum and electricity prices, but we denied,” he said adding that such decisions were not in favour of the people.

He said that Moody’s had decreased Pakistan’s credit rating which means people will lend us loans with high interest.

The PTI chairman said that during the last government of PML-N, they did not focus on the construction of dams but instead had initiated coal and LNG run power projects which it had to import.

He said that the dam projects launched by his government had come under threat since Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif came to power.

The ousted premier went on to say that the PPP and PML-N did not construct any dams during their combined tenure of over 30 years.
