Pakistan women thrashed Sri Lanka by 73 runs in the second ODI with opener Sidra Amin scoring the second century of her career while also becoming the first batter of the women’s team to score a century at home.

With the win, Pakistan have a 2-0 lead the three-match series being played at Karachi’s Southend Club Cricket Stadium.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Pakistan openers Muneeba Ali and Sidra Amin shunted out the Lankan bowlers. They put together 158 runs, the highest opening partnership for Pakistan in ODIs.

Amin contributed a stylish 123 off 150 balls while Muneeba pitched in with a half century, the second of her career. She was dismissed for 56 by Oshadi Ranasinghe.

The Lankans were off to a stuttering start in the chase, with right-arm medium pacer running through their lineup with four wickets. She ended with 4-26 in her quota of ten overs. The tourists ended their innings at 180/9 to lose by 73 runs.
