Petrol prices to go up again before June 30, warns Khurram Dastagir Khan
Federal minister for power says electricity price will also change
Pakistanis will have to brace for more expensive petrol, said Khurram Dastagir Khan on Aaj News show Rubaroo.
The federal minister for power said that people should expect the increase in petrol prices before June 30. He said that electricity will also become more expensive before July.
"It is with a very heavy heart that this decision was made," he said. "We need to reduce our deficit. The losses are in the Rs102 billion per month for the subsidy in Pakistan. For petrol alone, roughly you could make 25 new hospitals in the districts."
