Pakistan women team eyes clean sweep against Sri Lanka in final T20I

Pakistan women’s team will be looking to complete a clean sweep against Sri Lanka in the final Twenty20 international match, which will be played at the Karachi Southend Club Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

The home side, which is led by left-handed batter Bismah Maroof, is leading the series with 2-0 after all-round performances by the team in both matches.

Ayesha Naseem smashed an unbeaten 45 to help Pakistan register a seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the second T20I at the Southend Club on Tuesday. The victory sealed a series win for Pakistan. The Bismah Maroof-led hosts had won the first match by six wickets on Tuesday.

Both teams have so far played 15 T20Is against each other, with the Green shirts leading the contest with eight wins against the Lions (one no result), according to the Pakistan Cricket Board. The last time these two sides faced off in a T20I bilateral series, Pakistan came out on top with a 2-1 win.
