Search for missing teenage girl from Karachi’s Korangi enters sixth day
KARACHI: The search for the 14-year-old Dua Zehra, who went missing from Karachi’s Korangi area, enters the sixth day as efforts continue to trace her whereabouts.
A resident of the Korangi Golden Town area, Dua went missing after stepping out of the hosue to dispose of garbage, according to her father.
The family lives on the top floor of the house, with the missing girl’s father saying that he suspects the residents of the lower floor.
Additional Insepector General Ghulam Nabi, who visited the missing girl’s residence, told Aaj News that it is a sensitive case and investigation is underway.
“Three police teams are working on the case,” he said, adding that authorities were in constant contact with the victim’s family.
He said that police have acquired the call data of the other residents oof the house. CCTV footage from the area is also being scrutinised, he added.
According to neighbours, the girl would return straight to her house even when she stepped out for any chore. “We are praying that she is found safe and sound.”
The news of the girl’s alleged abduction spread like wildfire on social media with several high profile people and pages sharing the news and asking for people’s help in the search.
